What is The Self-Love Jump Challenge?

The Self-Love Jump is a free, fun interactive 28-day challenge. Our mission is to provide beautiful daily self-care rituals so you can develop a deep sense of self and love thereof through the art of self-care in just one month.

The challenge kicks off as soon as you are reading this. Every day you will see there is a written prompt along with a video and I suggest you commit 100%, jump in and just do it! It is only 28 days long, which is the right amount of time to create a new, healthy habit, a positive self-care habit, in honor of YOU.

Now this may feel incredibly foreign taking care of yourself in this way, every day but I encourage – urge – you to keep going and do each ritual every single day. If you miss a day then I would suggest you start again from Day 1. The point of this challenge is to complete every day, for 28 days straight.

Hello you gorgeous Self-Love Jumper! Welcome to the 28 day Self-Love challenge!

I’m super excited to present this to you as you embark on your journey of self-care guided by me. I invite you to share what you’re doing with photos, enlightening posts and truck loads of feedback and comments on The Self-Love Jump facebook page! I’ll be checking in regularly if you have any feedback or questions.

Remember the key to success in this challenge is to participate! So play all out, shine the light for those you love and see how they react as each day progresses.

So before we get started let’s just take a moment to note on how you feel right here right now. Write it in your phone, your diary or journal. Maybe even take a picture of yourself – yes a selfie – and write down what you see. Are you feeling amazing? Energised? Happy? Excited? Or are you a bit run down? Tired? Emotional? Vulnerable? Sad? Write it down and give yourself a score between 1 and 10 (1 being not great and 10 being totally awesome).

I can guarantee the amazing souls who are participating in, or have done this program, are willing to support you through each and every day too so I encourage you to get onto the Facebook page and give of yourself. After all there is that amazing saying you get what you give. This facebook page is a place where you can top each other’s love tanks and celebrate the challenges and joys all together.

Day 1 - Breathe

Hello and welcome to the Self-Love Jump challenge! I am so excited that you are here – it is an honor to be on this journey with you as I know how hard it can be in today’s world to be able to take time out for you!

I know that as a daughter, son, sister, brother, mother, father, employee, boss, friend, carer, pet-owner, student, activist and all of the other roles we each have, we have many expectations and rules that we are constantly trying to live up to. This is why I created this challenge.

Today we draw a line in the sand and dedicate some time back to knowing and loving us! We are each unique and in that uniqueness, we have different needs, different desires and different talents to share with the world. But, before we can be more to others in our world, WE MUST BE MORE TO & FOR OURSELVES.

Thank you for honoring yourself and choosing to give you some much-deserved attention and care. Self-care is not hard and with a little commitment every day we can fill our own love tank so that we are the best, most vibrant and inspired version of ourselves.

Today we are going to talk about commitment as an act of self-love and how by doing the practice of self-care you will automatically “top up your tank.” And then below the welcome video, you will find the Day 01 – ritual on breathing! Did you know that how you breathe can drastically change how you feel about yourself and your level of stress or disharmony can change instantly with just a few controlled breaths?

As you watch today’s videos really consider what this next 28 days is about for you – remember to write down how you are feeling now (on a scale of 1 to 10) and how you would like to feel and then every day – just do it – do every ritual and simply follow the program.

Day 2 - Compliment Yourself

Welcome to Day 2 of the Self-Love Jump! Today is all about the things we say, in our head and out loud, to ourselves.

For most of us (me included) it can be easier to pick out negative things and then just focus on those. We get caught up in the thoughts and beliefs that we are not enough, our bodies are not right, we don’t earn enough, can’t do things a certain way, we don’t look right, and we forget to realise and see the amazing things that we have going on in life.

It is our job to be our own best friend and today we are going to practice the art of “complimenting ourselves.” At first, this may feel uncomfortable, however, after a few attempts, I am sure you will agree that being kind to you – paying attention and focusing on the amazingness of who you are and all the “good” that you have going on is far more rewarding and satisfying than constantly beating up on yourself.

When you focus on the good – you get more good! So, when you can acknowledge how great you are, you will be amazed at how others acknowledge it too!

Day 3 - Stretch the Upper Body

Today in the Self-Love Jump we are going to spend some time stretching our bodies. Stretching is not only great for your physical self – it is great for your mental, emotional and spiritual self too!

Stretching provides an anchor to draw you into the moment and helps you to get present. It is a great way to connect with your body and feel into your day and life. The physical body provides an amazing path to wisdom – also called intuition – and when we are in commune with it; we can hear the messages it is relaying with ease and grace.

Stretching puts you in commune with your body. So, as you take a moment today to roll out the kinks – feel the tightness in your limbs and listen to any messages your body might have for you! A stretched body is a relaxed body and a relaxed body is the home to a happy soul.

Day 4 - Take Quick Breaks

Today is all about creating a few interruptions to your day. Positive interuptions. Taking a few short quick breaks to clear the mind and take a breath.

We know that nature is one of the most powerful ways to embrace a fresh perspective, new energy and release a heavy brain!

Today get outside at least a few times and get a piccy each time you do.

Day 5 - Turn Daily Rituals Into Rituals

It doesn’t matter what you have on your plate at the moment there are certain things that are a part of your daily routine.

Things like brushing your teeth, going to the loo, brushing your hair, eating and taking a shower.

So today I invite you to look at doing all these things mindfully and with love. Add a couple of drops of your favourite essential oils to a body brush or loofah and use in the shower today.

Turning things that you HAVE to do into treats that you WANT to do is a real shift in mindset and perspective. It’s a game changer!

Day 6 - Tune Into TED

How are you feeling today? The act of Self-Love comes in many different forms and some of us will be topped up from different activities to others. As you make your way through each of the rituals, it is important that you listen to and take notice of how each activity makes you feel.

Keep on with the ones that fill you up and maybe consider why the others don’t do it for you – be sure to ask is this something I need but am scared of? Or is it just not right for me?

Today we are going to look at how to use the World Wide Web to inspire us! Now, more than ever before we are spoilt with the amount of information we have access to! The key is to be selective in what you choose to watch, read and listen to!

Today we are going to take a deep dive into some of the most inspirational, transformative and thought-provoking content available. Today we are going to get intimate with TED talks!

In the video below I will discuss why these “Ted Talks” really are the best available and share with you one of my favourite of all time! There is a Ted talk for every topic, so you are guaranteed to find something that tickles your fancy.

Day 7 - Put Your Shoes on and Move

Wow! Can you believe that we are already one week down! How are you feeling? What are you noticing about your day to day? Can you feel any difference? And does it feel just that little bit better doing something for you each day?

Today we are going to get out and get moving. Now, before you get scared, or the runaway voice in your head catches you in a cycle of “I can’t” or “I don’t have time” – I want you to take a deep breath (like we learned last week) and ask a new question – “How CAN I?”

Getting functional movement into our day is as important as bathing! It is a ritual that honors the physical body and replenishes the mind. From walking to skipping, dancing, rebounding on a trampoline or if it is your thing going to the Gym, running on the beach or getting on your bike – moving your body every day consciously will reduce stress, increase energy and give you those “feel good” vibes.

So today, make a choice and set a goal to get up and move your body – whether it is 5 minutes dancing all out for one song or a nice 40-minute walk in nature, find something that appeals to you and just start. Every step taken is a step towards feeling good. I promise that if you do it, you will not regret it!

Day 8 - Toilet Ritual

I have a question for you. What do you do when you are on the loo?

I know this may seem a little personal and that is exactly why I ask – because your LOO time is the perfect place to get some space! For years, I have been using my “toilet” time at work and at home as a ritual for care. I have a spritzer of some of my favourite oils made up and on hand in the loo so that when my day is crazy and the world is spinning I can create use the only time I have alone to nourish and revitalise!

Today I want you to leave the “phone” alone and use your “Loo Time” as “YOU Time!” There are loads of ways to make it deeply nourishing from stretching your neck like we did last week to simply taking some deeply connected breathing time and as with everything if you are looking for an extra boost simply add a favourite oil and start to spritz and sniff!

Day 9 - Declutter Your Box

Today we are going to tackle one of those seemingly innocuous tasks that although may not directly cause you harm, it can – when left unattended – cause overwhelm, confusion and add to the feeling of “never having time.”

Today, we are going to de-clutter your box – inbox – that is!

In today’s society we have access to SO SO much information and if you are anything like me, you LOVE to learn and grow so maybe, you sign up to every single site, newsletter, teacher, shop and online opportunity that you comes your way….

Then all of a sudden the avalanche hits and before you know it – you have to wade through hundreds of emails before you even start your day! So today we are going to take care of the foundations and declutter the inbox to support us to ease into our days with grace and FOCUS.

Less really is the key to more and when we have fewer distractions we have more time and space to focus on the things that really matter…

Day 10 - Use Your Car Time Wisely

Today we are going to go for a drive. Actually, you will probably just be doing what you normally do and driving to work or the kids to school but today we are going to find out how to transform your car into a travelling university!

Did you know that we as people are the product of our environment and that our environment is made up of all of the stimuli that we take in daily – the people, places, smells, sounds and flavours – from the books we read, the shows we watch, the conversations we have to what we listen to in the car, we in every moment are being exposed to information that will ultimately shape who we are and how we be in this world.

So today we are going to explore ways to maximise the car environment to support us to grow and evolve… with the wonderful world of PODCASTS!

I love podcasts – they are seriously one of my most valued resources – and I listen to them everywhere! I have a few I love and I can’t wait to hear which ones you love too!

Using the power of intention, essential oils and a little self-love insider knowledge, you will have a sure-fire strategy to get back to YOU, the fun, happy, glowing, expanding, loving you!!

Day 12 - Connect with Lost Loved Ones

I can’t believe we are almost half way through our 28 day challenge! You are doing such a great job loving on you – I am honestly so proud! It is not at always easy to focus on making you feel good when life is full of other priorities, it can in truth actually be very hard and I know a lot of people (myself included) can suffer from guilt as a result.

Today, I want to acknowledge the importance of what you are actually doing and take a moment to reflect on some of the harder times in life. The thing is that we only get one shot at this life (this time anyway) and that is why I am so driven to share this message! I mean, if we only get one shot we best make it our best shot, right? And a life half enjoyed is not your best.

So, in honor of us giving life our best (from looking after ourselves best), I want you today to take some time out to connect with those people who may not be with us anymore. Whether it is a parent, a friend, a colleague or just someone you really admired that has passed take a quiet moment to connect with their energy and reflect on what you think they might share with you. If they had the opportunity to give you one piece of advice what do you think they might say?

And then after you hear that I want you to grab hold of the love you felt for them and hug yourself. Sometimes our greatest lessons come from the hardest experiences. Enjoy your video today and remember that those you have loved and lost, live on through the person you are and the joy you share!

Day 13 - Take an Aromatic Bath

Happy Self-Care Day! Today’s ritual is the ultimate indulgence if you are feeling tired, stressed or a little depleted.

Today we are going to immerse our bodies in water, engulf our senses with delight and BATHE. Yes, that is right today we are going to learn about the art of Aromatic Bathing and transform bath time forever.

This is a great ritual to make a weekly treat for the whole family and has many times been the antidote to grumpy and tired children!

If you do not have a bath do not fear… You can participate in today’s ritual by having an Aromatic Shower. Simply place 4 drops of your favourite oils onto a damp face washer. As you hop into your shower you can place the face washer over the plug and allow the water and heat to disperse the beautiful fragrance into the shower cubicle.

Day 14 - Write Yourself a Love Note

Congratulations – you have been loving on you for a whole 14 days! How does it feel? What has changed? Has anything changed? What have you learned?

These are some great things to ponder as you complete today’s ritual and write yourself a LOVE NOTE.

Day 15 - Get Out Into Nature

Today’s ritual is not about how long or how far, how hot or hot cold.

Today we invite you to appreciate your surroundings and really embrace all that this beautiful world has to offer.

Even if you are living in the city, or feel there is not a lot of nature around you, find a way to embrace the beauty that Mother Nature provides.

Day 16 - Create a Portable Vision Board

I love to dream and for many years I have loved the practice of putting those dreams of my future onto a vision board that I can look at and ponder day in and day out as I take the action to create my future.

Today we are going to dive into the future you with love and vigour as we create a vision board with a difference! Yes we are going to create a travelling anchor to your future self that will be not only motivation for the days you are feeling less than amazing, but a reminder of the greatness you posses.

In the words of the William Arthur Ward “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.”

Day 17 - Check your Ingredients

It is time to get educated and a little technical. Did you know that the way you feel – physically, emotionally, mentally – has a lot to do with what you put in and on your body!

Yes the food, skincare, beverages, deodorants, in fact anything you put into and onto your body that you use on a regular basis can actually be some of the most important aspects of a good, sustainable self-care practice. And it is the ingredients that are in these items that will determine if you FEEL GOOD – energised, clear, happy, strong – or you maybe FEEL AVERAGE – lethargic, heavy foggy, anxious and irritable.

We are exposed to so many toxins these days that it is impossible to stay away from the all, however, knowledge is power and there are a few nasties that if you are aware of and can steer clear of will have you enjoying more of the FEELING GOOD more of the time!

Day 18 - Take a Tea Break

Today is simple – your mission is to enjoy a nice big cup of love…. aka tea! Yes I just want you to take the time out today to enjoy a cup of tea away from screens, and maybe even people. Choose your favourite brew and as you sit and sip simply be in the moment.

Bring presence to this simple act and really feel yourself and your surroundings. Ponder what is great about the day, what you have to be grateful for – no matter what is happening there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for, maybe it is as simple as being able to easily access clean water, have the electricity to boil it and a porcelain cup to drink it from. This alone is more than what many others have.

Day 19 - A WOD a Day

No matter what sort of a day you are having, I am about to give you the wake-me-up-and-make-me-want-to-marry-the-day tonic! Yes, today’s ritual is all about activating the physical body and amplifying life with a short and simple W.O.D. Which is simply a Workout of the Day.

Now, before you roll over and hit the snooze button, I want you to know that all you need is about 5 minutes! That is right – all it takes is five minutes of focused and concentrated effort to wake up the cells, and amplify your life!

I challenge you to do something vigorous today, take life by the horns, have a go and tell me how you feel after – I promise it will be better than if you didn’t do it!

Day 20 - Get Dressed Up

Get excited! Today we are going to get out and about and celebrate being alive with our favourite LBD (or pants/jeans/skirts), a great pair of high end shoes, or heels and some hair gel or lippy too!

It is time to get a little “frocked or dressed up!”

Whether you have somewhere to go or it is maybe a special at-home experience, it is time to celebrate being alive in this day in age and dress to feel good and then head out and enjoy living!

Do whatever floats your boat… just make sure you are dressed to impress and feeling fine! Today is about making a little effort for yourself and just getting dressed up… because you can!

Day 21 - Dreams Challenge

We are now into the home stretch and with only 7 days left of the Self-Love Jump, I want to encourage you to think about your life and how having a daily self-care ritual can help you create, experience and BE so much more!

Generally, if we are going to successfully achieve something whether it be to create a new habit, reach a goal or have a certain experience we need a really good WHY! If we know why and I mean the bigger WHY of doing something we have more motivation and commitment.

My intention is to lead you to create a sustainable daily self-care practice so that you can fill your own love tank and in turn achieve that which is your heart’s most desired without the burn-out, the drama, and the stress.

Day 22 - Life Changing Books

That means, if you have stayed committed, that for 21 whole days you have been prioritising your self-care and filling your love cup! It also means that you are now learning to cement self-care as a daily habit! Congratulations!

Today, we are going to look at a longer ritual and one that will stay with you for days and weeks to come… today we are going to review some books – life changing books.

Books for me are an essential of self-care. They are a way to learn, grow and evolve, they are not expensive, available to everyone and they last for generations. I personally always have a few books on the go. I use them as a source of inspiration and an opportunity for self-inquiry and reflection. Books help me make sense of the world, they feed my mind and nourish my soul, they are also one of my favourite keepsakes.

Day 23 - Share the Organic Love

Today we are going to delve into the essence of organics and what we are really doing when we choose to buy and live organic.

For some people it is not viable to only buy organic because of circumstance, however, I believe that when we understand the essence of buying organic we can apply the same conscious decision making to all purchases. At the end of the day, it is about our intentions in life as they ultimately shape our actions.

Let us not forget too how much we the consumer can control what products are sourced and produced. Can you imagine (just for a moment if no one brought any products that were NOT organic for one week) just what that would do to the health, food and beauty industries? We have way more power over the products made available to us than we think.

Day 24 - Colour and Doodle

Doodling that comes with pencils and colouring books.

Over the past few years “Adult Colouring Books” have become a phenomenon amongst busy people as a quick and fun way to revitalise the mind and spark some creativity. So today I want you to tap into your inner child and play. Grab some pencils, a colouring book or just a pen and paper and let your hand wander.

What you may notice as you take some time out to “play and be creative” is that those answers you have been pondering, or concerns you have felt, or the many different questions you may have, will suddenly become effortless or arrive with ease. The mindless activity of colouring in could well be the space you mind craved to create more clarity.

Have fun today in your creative play and give some time, even if for just 15 minutes, to nurture the artist within.

Day 25 - Be in Awe of Your 50-Trillion Cells

Have you ever stopped and really considered how amazing it is to be alive, how your body actually works day in and day out to keep you alive or what it takes to at a cellular level to ensure that everything is doing what it is supposed to?

The human body is quite honestly an amazing organism and if we could take the time to comprehend just how amazing it is, I believe, that each of us would commit without reservation to doing everything we could to support, honor and nourish it!

Today it is time to be in awe. In awe of your body, your mind and every inch of the gift you received when you were born into this world.

Day 26 - Ask the Universe, Pick a Card

Some days it is just easier to let go and let someone (or something) else provide the answer. I don’t know about you, but I can often get stuck in my head sometimes, going round and round and round in circles, getting no where.

And when I am about three circles around and heading for another loop I will choose to stop, release and receive!

How do I do this? I pick a card!

Yes, a card – I love the various packs of intuitive style cards you can get nowadays. Whether they are angel cards, energy cards or some other style, I find that whenever I am procrastinating in life not able to find the right answer these ingenious little manifestations will often provide me with the exact insight, inspiration and injection that I need to move forward. One of my favourite’s is the new Aroma Cards taking a message from the plant, the oil and the blend created.

So today I want to have a little fun. Think of something that you are currently wrestling with in your mind – you know that thing that keeps popping up time and time again, the one you just can’t seem to find the answer to…

I want you to release it, hand it over the greater being, the universe, God, the bigger you and ask for guidance and then be open to receiving the answer. You may be truly surprised at the power in releasing and receiving!

Today we have a challenge for tomorrow. Or at least another time in the next seven days.

It is true that the best things in life are free & today we are going to remember that sometimes all we need to do is wake up and enjoy!

Day 28 - Have a Quickie

Congratulations! YOU MADE IT!

Yes this is the end of the Self-Love Jump Challenge, but maybe for you, it is the beginning of a new life of increased level of care, joy and love.

Today I am ending on the highest note.

I won’t tell you about today’s ritual, I will just let you discover it below.
I would love you to think back to Day 1 and if you can remember me asking you to take a moment to note on how you feel right here right now. I asked you to write it in your phone, your diary or journal. I even suggested maybe taking a picture of yourself – yes a selfie – and write down what you see. Remember I asked if you were feeling amazing? Energised? Happy? Excited? Or were you a bit run down? Tired? Emotional? Vulnerable? Sad? I asked you to write it all down and give yourself a score between 1 and 10 (1 being not great and 10 being totally awesome).
So now I ask you to do the same. How are you feeling now? And can you rate yourself on a score between 1 and 10 (1 being not great and 10 being totally awesome) and see if there has been any shift? I certainly hope the answer is yes. I hope you can take another selfie and see the difference. That there is a wee spark that has been ignited and is shining brighter.

I just want to say how honoured and proud I am to have been given the chance to lead you in this challenge and step further into love with me, together.
